Tippecanoe County 4-H Computer Project judging will be held Wednesday, July 9 at the County Extension Office. Project check-in will begin at 8am and judging will begin at 8:30 with Level 1 (3rd-5th graders). Once finished with Level 1, we will proceed to Level 2 and finish with Level 3 projects. In order to be judged, you MUST have your project checked in before judging begins for your level (8:30 for Level 1). When judging is over for the day, you will need to take your project with you (or make arrangements for someone else to do so) from the Extension Office and return it to the 4-H Fairgrounds during project check-in on Thursday, July 17. For judging, we will have computers equipped with CD/DVDs and capable of reading a USB flash drive. Please do NOT bring your project on a floppy disk - we will not be able to read that. We will also have our computers equipped with the following software: MS Windows, the MS Office 2007 Suite, Internet Explorer 7, Firefox 2, and Alice. If you need something else, please contact us. Please review your project guidelines in the 4-H handbook. In order to be judged, you must submit a poster or notebook. Level 3 participants are also required to submit a written report as part of their project. We encourage you (though it is not required) to bring your electronic project to judging AND to stay so the judge can discuss your project with you when it is judged. This is a valuable experience. If you have any questions, please contact Mikel, Ed, or Bret by emailing tc4htipp@purdue.edu. We look forward to seeing you all next week! Mikel, Ed & Bret |
